Meaning of Sonbula
Sonbula is a direct Quranic name for girls that means “plant ear”, “plant spike”, as in “ear of wheat”, “ear of corn” (the part of the cereal plant that holds the seeds, see this picture of a person with three ears/spikes in his hand). Sonbula is mentioned in verse 2:261 of the Quran.
