My son’s name is Sari. On gathering info about it’s meaning I found the following:
A shrine in South of Lebanon is erected for a prophet or saint named Sari. I found no bibliographical tales on him though. Also,in the Quran recitation that pertains to the prophet Mohamad’s ascension to the heavens in one night (isra’a and miaraj) it is cited that God “asra” which in arabic language is a verb that roughly means God facilitated the “night time travelling” of the said prophet. As mentioned above that night’s name contains the word “isra’a” which is a noun designating the “night time travel”. “Sari” would also be a noun designating a person that would perform “isra’a” i.e. he would be “a night time traveller”.
I also found in an online arabic dictionary that “sari” could also mean lion or nighttime mist.
