Full Meaning of Iyhsaan
Iyhsaan is a direct Quranic name for boys, and less commonly for girls, that means “kindness”, “graciousness”, “generosity”. It comes from the Husn (beauty) root, and its literal meaning is “to do what is beautiful toward others”. In Islam, Iyhsaan refers to doing what is good, kind, and pleasing to Allah. The word Iyhsaan is used directly 12 times in the Quran.
Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. (Quran 16:90)
And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. (Quran 17:23)
