Meaning of Asiya
Asiya is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “pensive”, “wistful” and “melancholic”. It is the name of the pious wife of the Pharaoh, Asiya bint Muzahim, who lived at the time of Prophet Musa/Moses, as mentioned in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. It is derived from the A-S-A root which is used in a number of places in the Quran. Since Asiya is an ancient name, it is possible that it has other meanings in pre-Arabian languages.
So he turned away from them, saying, ‘My people, I delivered my Lord’s messages to you and gave you sincere advice, so why should I grieve for people who refused to believe?’ (Quran 7:93)
so that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant over what you have gained. God loves neither the conceited nor the boastful (Quran 57:23)

Asiya is a feminine name of Arabic origin and it is said to mean ‘Caring One’. A girl who lives up to this name would be gentle and tender toward people. This name is mostly used by Muslim parents, and is not commonly found in Britain.
