Full Meaning of Aedem
Aedem is a direct Quranic name for boys that refers to the first human that God created, who was also the first prophet, peace be upon him. Aedem according to some linguists is related to Adeem, which means “dust”, since God created Aedem from dust, or from Admah, which means “surface of the Earth”. The word Aedem mentioned 20 times in the Quran.
BEHOLD, God raised Aedem, and Noah, and the House of Abraham, and the House of `Imran above all mankind. (Quran 3:33)
Verily, in the sight of God, the nature of Jesus is as the nature of Aedem, whom He created out of dust and then said unto him, “Be” – and he is. (Quran 3:59)
