Hi , I was planning to name my baby girl Aaliyah. i am confused about the last name. Would it be Aaliyah Khan OR Aaliyah Khanum? Please advice.

When Khan is used as a surname, it seems to be used for both boys and girls, for example there are thousands of women named Aisha Khan.

Khanum is a respectful title for a woman, like "Mrs." or "Lady" in English. It is not a surname. While Khan is a name that is shared by the whole family.
