Joya is a Persian name for boys and girls that means "seeker", "searcher", one who seeks something, for example God, or truth, etc. It is pronounced [(J)ump + s(OO)n] + [(YA)rn], you can also pronounce it with a lighter o, as in [(JO)rdan] + [(YA)rn]. It is written as جويا in Farsi and can also be written as Jooya, Juya, Joyaa, Juyaa in English.
Joya is not an Islamic name but Muslims can use it since it has a good meaning.
