May you tell me the base origin of the name please? It kind of matches with my daughter Aisha and I am thinking of putting it as my son’s name.
Many thanks.

We actually searched a lot and decided to call my little son as ahnaf, the meaning posted in this website was, a person who is close to god, reads hadith, honesty etc but now if u show some other meaning for ahnaf, it is really disappointing, we started calling him ahnaf when he was in the womb, how shall we change his name. Ur error has really made us feel confused and disgusting.

The meaning has been previously mentioned differently, so what should we do who kept our son’s name “Ahnaf”? cause the meaning is quite negative now?

This is very disrespectful. That’s not the meaning of Ahnaf. It means “Worshipper of Allah, righteous”. Please change it.

My older son Ahnaf was wanting to know his names meaning and he’s really disappointed that his name is not really a good name but i believe it is really good because some other websites “that are true” says that Ahnaf means righteous, honest, worshipper of Allah, true believer but instead you are just giving us a false meaning, Im disgusted….

The root word of Ahnaf and Hanif (or Haneef) are the same. How can the meaning of this word so different from that of Hanif? Could you explain?

I don’t know what wrong with this website about the meaning of the name Ahnaf. my wife is pregnant and I will not hesitate to call my son Ahnaf due to this wrong meaning you gives us. I don’t know you transale this name from which language. it’s better to delete your meaning rather then disappointing people on this name. be in? mind that you are hurting the baby who have given that name

The same thing happened with me as well. I have named my son Ahnaf as I saw the meaning was worshiper of Allah, righteous. And now in many websites I see the meaning is club footed. Would really appreciate an explanation.
