Sadr is an Arabic word that means “chest” (such as a human chest), but when used as a name it means “at the forefront”, “vanguard”, “leader”. Sadr is pronounced [(SU)m + (D)ay + p(R)ay]. Sadr is a direct Quranic word and is suitable for a Muslim baby.
