A Quranic Name for Boys

Enes is variant of Anas and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Enes or Anas, both are correct and acceptable. If you like this variant more and you'd like to pronounce it the way it is spelled (different than the original name), this is perfectly acceptable. Full Meaning of Enes

Enes is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means a person who brings you joy and peace of mind, who removes your fears and worries. It is a common name of the Sahabah (companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his companions). It is derived from the A-N-S root (to see, to recognize, to feel safe) which is used in a number of places in the Quran and is the root for the word Insaan (mankind).

He saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: “Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance.” (Quran 20:10)

And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you recognize in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor – let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant. (Quran 4:6)
