Ammare is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “one who brings a place back to life”, “one who tends and maintains something”, “long-lived”, “God-fearing”, “pious”, “one whose presence brings joy to others”. It is the name of an important early companion (Sahabi) of the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him and his companions, whose name was Ammare bin Yasir.
