Full Meaning of Aleya

Aleya is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “uppermost”, “highest”, “most exalted”. It is derived from the AIN-L-A root which is used in many places of the Quran and is the root for the name Ali and Allah’s names of al-Ali and al-Muta`aali.

And recite in the Book the account of Idris. He was a man of truth, a Prophet; and We exalted him to a lofty position. (Quran 19:56-57)

[Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come -whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! (Quran 16:60)
