Assalamu Alaikom. I heard that Samson was a biblical prophet as well as an Islamic prophet. The Arabic name of Samson is Shamsun or Samsun. It refers to the son. I would like a boys name somewhere with either reference to Samson or the sun. Thankyou.

Samson is a Hebrew name that means "man of the sun". In Arabic he is known as Shamshun. The meaning of this name is not a forbidden meaning, for this reason you can use it, either as Samson or Shamshun.

However, it would be better to use an Arabic word with no relation to the Bible, such as Shams ("sun"), which is the name of the famous Sufi poet Shams Tabrizi.
