Eleeza is the short form of Eleezabeth, which comes from the Hebrew word Elisheva. Elisheva was the name of the wife of Prophet Aaron in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament the wife of Prophet Zachariah and mother of Prophet John (Yahya) is called Elisheva as well. The meaning of this name is “my God is abundance”, which is an acceptable meaning.
Eleeza can also be a variant of the Hebrew name Aliza, which means “joyful”.
