Full Meaning of Burhaan
Burhaan is a direct Quranic name for boys that means evidence, proof, demonstration, especially proof of Allah’s greatness and power, and is one of the names of the Holy Quran (al-Burhaan, the Clear Evidence). It is used in the Quran seven times directly, for example:
We shall call from every nation a witness and shall ask them to bring proof (in support of their belief). They will know that truth belongs to God and that whatever they had falsely invented has abandoned them. (Quran 28:75)
They declare, ‘None shall ever enter Heaven unless he be a Jew or a Christian.’ This is their own wishful thinking. [Prophet], say, ‘Produce your evidence if you are telling the truth.’ (Quran 2:111)
Men, you have received clear evidence from your Lord. We have sent down a clear light to you. (Quran 4:174)
And, indeed, she desired him [Prophet Yusuf], and he desired her; [and he would have succumbed] had he not seen [in this temptation] an evidence of his Sustainer’s truth: thus [We willed it to be] in order that We might avert from him all evil and all deeds of abomination -for he was truly one of Our servants. (Quran 12:24)
