I do not think that HANIN is a male-boy as it is mentioned above though it needs an :e: at its end HANINE according to the arabic pronounciation and spelling: Then it means the missing, or the home sickness and when it is written in arabic it does not need an alif حنين in order to remain- to keep its meaning for a female and not a boy as said above حانن and spelled . As her father is a Syrian it is certain than probable he was aware that he received a baby-girl and not a baby-boy , but the registerer put her name without an e at the end as I say again .. Thank you
