Meaning of Areesh

Areesh is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means “built structure”, especially a wooden structure built for vines. It is derived from the Ain-R-Sh (structure, throne) which is used in many places in the Quran.

I found a woman ruling over them, who has been given everything and she has a mighty throne. (Quran 27:23)

Areesh is also a Farsi name that means intelligent, wise. The Farsi meaning is not related to the Quranic word, but since it has a good meaning it can be used by Muslims.
