Sudais is an Arabic and indirect Quranic name that means “sixth”, “one out of six”. It is the last name of a famous Quran reciter, Shaikh Abdurrahman as-Sudais. Sudais is derived from the S-D-S (“six”)  root which is used at least twice in the Quran.
