Ramzieh is an indirect Quranic name for girls that comes from Ramz, which is “sign”, “symbol”, “gesture”, “code”, and it has meanings of “reserved”, “demure”, “quiet”. It is derived from the R-M-Z root which is used in the Quran in verse 3:41:

He said, ‘My Lord, grant me a sign.’ [The angel] said, ‘Your sign is that you will not be able to speak to people for three days except by signs. Remember your Lord much and glorify Him morning and evening.’
