Meaning of Nureen

Nureen is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “made of light”, “brilliant”, “dazzling”. It is formed from Arabic Noor (light) and Persian -een (made of, like, full of). The word Noor is mentioned in many places in the Quran, for this reason we consider Nureen an indirect Quranic name.

Noreen is an acceptable spelling for Nureen. There are also many other acceptable spellings.
