Nawal is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “gift”, “blessing”, “bestowal”. It is derived from the N-Y-L root (to reach, to accomplish, to get) which is used in a number of places in the Quran.
[But bear in mind:] never does the flesh (of sacrifice animals) reach God, and neither the blood: it is only your God-consciousness that reaches Him.
