Mehd is variant of Mahd and has the exact same meaning and pronunciation (see below for full meaning). You can use either Mehd or Mahd, both are correct and acceptable. Full Meaning of Mehd

Mehd is a direct Quranic name for boys and girls that means “cradle”, “place of comfort”, “starting point”.  Below is an example of the use of Mehd in the Quran in verse  3:46, which talks about Prophet Jesus:

And he shall speak unto mankind from the cradle and in maturity; and be one of the righteous. (Quran 3:46)
