Taj is a Persian word that means “crown”, Arabs borrowed this word from Persian and thus it is also an Arabic word with the same meaning. Taj is sometimes used as a name for boys and you can use it since it doesn’t have a bad meaning.

Taj is not a Quranic name. Taj also figuratively means “the best”, “extraordinary”.

Please inform me why Taj in Arabic script has 3 letters and Haj in Arabic script only two letters. Both have the “a” sound of Alif.
