  I want to name my son Zayed زايد but in Quran name of sahabi is mentioned as Zayd زيد. On your website meaning of both names is same but then they are written differently in arabic. Is there some difference of grammar in both names? Or are they totally two different names?

  They are two completely different names with similar meanings but different pronunciations, like Alice and Alicia.
