Full Meaning of Arefa

Arefa is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “one endowed with great knowledge”, “wise”, “experienced”. It is derived from the AIN-R-F root which is used in many places in the Quran.

They unto whom We have vouchsafed revelation aforetime know it as they know their own children: but some of them knowingly suppress the truth. (Quran 2:146)
