Sinan is an Arabic name for boys that means “spearhead” (the tip of a spear). It is derived from the S-N-N root which is used in the Quran, therefore it is an indirect Quranic name. Sinan is pronounced [(SI)mple] + [(NA)p + (N)ew] with emphasis on the second syllable.
