We selected the name Aydin for our newborn but we r not sure about the meaning and origin of this name,is this a Quranic name or is it ok to keep this name for a boy

wa’alaikumsalam. in my opinion, it is always good to put muhammad before the name (eg, muhammad aydin) because that is our beloved prophet’s name, sallahu alaihi wasalam

Its perfect halal to have this name – its my name and I love it 🙂 you do not need to have Arab names to be considered “Muslim “ as many Arab Christian’s are named “Islamic names” like noah, musa ect so all those saying aydin is a secular name is wrong as you can say that about ANY name . Aydin is mostly used in Muslim countries (turkey ,Azerbaijan,Iran ) and is associated with Muslims . It’s completely different from the name “Aidan” which is used in western countries . Aydin has a halal name as it means light and intelligent and is associated with Islamic culture – everyone slandering my name is wrong :(!! ⭐️
