My daughter is called Nylah, it’s a lovely feminine and strong name and so is my daughter. I love her name and so does everyone else. It’s not that common and yet it’s beautiful. I’m sure in a few years times there will be many more young Muslim girls with this name but I hope not as I like her being unique with her name.

We named our daughter Nylah when she was born 3 years ago. I know it’s popular in the US amongst black women but not that common amongst Muslims. I really like the the name. It’s beautiful and so is my daughter. We are a family with relatives in different countries and the name is pronounced correct by all. The only problem now is what to call my future children as I’m not sure I’ll find another name I like as much!
