SharjeelGuestAssalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Brother/Sister,
I want to name my daughter Shifa which has beautiful meaning (Arabic for “cure”, “healing”, “remedy”) and is indirectly mentioned in the Holy Quran multiple times. Please provide some feedback if I add ‘h’ after Shifa changing it to Shifah. Does it changes the meaning of it and/or the gender it is referring to? Thanks,
Keep me in your prayers,
Jazakallah khair and Khuda Hafez

QuranicNames.com StaffKeymasterAlaikumassalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,
Shifa is actually a directly mentioned Quranic name, we have corrected the article.
Shifa does not have an “h” sound at the end and adding it would change the meaning to “lips”, being the plural of Shafah (“lip”).
Wassalam
