I am interested in naming my daughter ‘Makoto’. I visited japan whilst teaching English and absolutely love this traditional name, but was wondering if names from other continents are permissible so long as they have good meaning?
The meaning for Makoto is ‘sincerity’ but I am unsure if it would be allowed because it is does not have any root in Arabic or related languages like many muslim names.
I have other names I heard that I liked like: ‘Inori’ meaning prayer and ‘Emika’ meaning a blossoming flower but I just want to know if this entire genre is permissible firstly before exploring other options.
