      My daughter name is malaika. She is 17 years old. Is this name permissible in islam. Now we can’t change the name.

      She may keep it. In general, once a person is known by a name, even if the name has a negative meaning or the name is not recommended, there is no need to change it. The rule for choosing good names only applies to naming newborns.
