We were thinking about naming our baby girl , Leiya / Lieyah.. but wanted to know if this is permissible.
From what I found researching is that, the closest sounding to this is Leah , who was Prophet Yaqubs’ wife , however the background ( him being tricked to marry her ) , name meaning weary and tired on some sources versus Beautiful/ Gazelle, in other sources has me confused.
Also, since the name as Hebrew origins I assume should not be an issue.
Finally, the closest thing in this website I found was Liyah, but that is pronounced slightly differently as opposed to Leiyah (lay-ah) …
Any help on this matter urgently would be greatly appreciated.
