Meaning of Afeen
Afeen is an Arabic name for boys and girls that means “those who forgive”, “those who pardon others”. It is derived from the AIN-F-W which is used in many places in the Quran.

الَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُوْنَ فِي السَّرَّآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ وَالْكٰظِمِيْنَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِيْنَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ۚ
Urdu – Muhammad Junagarhi
جو لوگ آسانی میں سختی کے موقع پر بھی اللہ کے راستے میں خرچ کرتے ہیں[1] ، غصہ پینے والے اور لوگوں سے درگزر کرنے والے ہیں[2]، اللہ تعالیٰ ان نیک کاروں سے محبت کرتا ہے.
Urdu – Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan
جو لوگ آسانی میں اور سختی کے موقع پر بھی اللہ کے راستے میں خرچ کرتے ہیں (١) غصہ پینے والے اور لوگوں سے درگزر کرنے والے (٢) اللہ نیکوکاروں سے محبت کرتا ہے۔
١٣٤۔١ محض خوش حالی میں ہی نہیں، تنگ دستی کے موقع پر بھی خرچ کرتے ہیں۔ مطلب یہ ہی کہ ہر حال اور ہر موقع پر اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں۔
١٣٤۔٢ یعنی جب غصہ انہیں بھڑکاتا ہے تو اسے پی جاتے ہیں یعنی اس پر عمل نہیں کرتے اور ان کو معاف کر دیتے ہیں جو ان کے ساتھ برائی کرتے ہیں۔
