No. The name Aiza means “noble”. It is not derived from Arabic word “Aiz” عيز, because the name Aiza in Arabic is written as عايزه, so it’s a total different word. And it’s also pronounced as “Aa-eezah” and not “Aey-zah” or “Ey-zah”.

To the one girl that’s saying she doesn’t know Arabic but she heard it’s bad. Your right, I’m Arab and I know Arabic with traditional Lebanese parents and Aiza means Funeral. I’m not very knowledgeable on this matter but I think it is traditionally a nice name but they made the word into a ‘ funeral’ meaning. So no, the name Aiza does not mean Funeral but the name isn’t common nowadays Bc it’s kind of laughable (in Arabic) (not all countries)

Here is the explanation. People from desi cultures pronounce the ض as a hard “Z”. The letter ض “Dad” not to be confused with د “Dal” is a letter that is ONLY pronounced in arabic and therefore arabic is called the Language of Dad. لغة الضاد

if you search for your name’s origin, I would probably say that you will find that in arabic it is written as عائضة, the female form of عائض. Which means:
The thing given or gifted is similar to the word “gift” in many respects. A famous scholar has this name. Aid al-Qarni

But since Desis pronounce the “Hamzah” here as “Y” and the “Dad” as “Z” they would read it: Ayez or in your case “Ayza”. This problem appears in other names as well with this letter, like Riaz and Zia

Opinion: It is very important to know the word’s origin and how it is written and pronounced in the language of origin before the latin written form is chosen.

    Regards,
    Sami
