Vahid is a direct Quranic name for boys that means “unique”, “singular”, “alone”, “peerless”. It is mentioned in the Quran in 74:11:

Leave Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, and to whom I have granted resources in abundance. (Quran 74:11-12)
