Bakht is a Farsi word that means luck, opportunity, share. It is used for both boys and girls. Muslims can use it since it doesn't have a bad meaning. A similar name is Bakhtyar, which means lucky, from Bakht (luck) and yar (friend of, accompanied by), which is mostly used for boys. Bakhtyar is also an acceptable name for Muslims.
