Surush is a Persian name for boys that means “messenger”, especially an angel that brings messages from God to humans, and thus it can be a Persian name for the angel Jibreel (Gabriel). In modern Persian and Kurdish it means “revelation”, a message sent by God to mankind, such as the Gospels or the Quran.
