Seerus is a Persian name for boys. It is the Persianized form of the Western name Cyrus, which itself is from the Persian name Kurosh, which is the name of the founder of the Achaemenid Empire (the first Persian empire). We cannot find any information on the meaning of the name but since it is an ancient name with unknown origin and is commonly used, it is acceptable for Muslims to use.
