Full Meaning of Samitt

Samitt is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means silent, it is a kinaya (reference) to wisdom and deep thought. It is derived from the Sad-M-T root which is used in the Quran in chapter 7:

And if you call them to true guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you whether you call them to true guidance or keep silent. (Quran 7:193)
