Full Meaning of Sabilah

Sabilah is an indirect Quranic name for girls that has the same meaning as Sabeel. It means “path”, “road”, “way”. It is derived from the S-B-L root which is used often in the Quran.

When he [Moses] made his way towards Midian, he said, ‘Perhaps my Lord will guide me to the right way.’ (Quran 28:22)

But if they press you to associate something with Me about which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. Yet be kind to them in this world and follow the path of those who turn to Me. You will all return to Me in the end, and I will tell you everything that you have done. (Quran 31:15)
