Full Meaning of Saalem

Saalem is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means correct, free from error, safe, intact, unharmed, unblemished, healthy. It is mentioned in the plural in the Quran in the plural Saalemoon and its root, S-L-M, is very commonly used in the Quran and is the source of the word Islam, Muslim, and Salaam (peace).

Their eyes shall be downcast and ignominy shall overwhelm them. For when they were safe and sound, they were summoned to prostrate themselves, (and they refused). (Quran 68:43)

Lord, make us Muslim (submissive) to You; make of our descendants a nation that will submit to You. Teach us our rites of worship and turn to us with mercy; You are the Forgiving One and the Merciful. (Quran 2:128)
