Saabic is an Arabic name for boys that means “one who goes ahead,” “a forerunner,” “a pioneer,” or “a competitor who leads”, “one who races others and competes with them in doing good deeds”.
Saabicūn, the plural of Saabic,is used in the Quran in a number of places, such as verse 56:10:
“The forerunners, the forerunners: they will be the ones brought near [to God].” (Quran 56:10-11)
