Full Meaning of Rehema

Rehema is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means merciful, kind, tenderhearted. It is derived from the R-H6-M which is used often in the Quran and is the root of two of the most important names of Allah: ar-Rahmaan (the Most Gracious) and ar-Raheem (the Most Merciful). Below is an example of the R-H6-M root in the Quran:

The heavens are almost split asunder from above as the angels sing their Lord’s praise and seek forgiveness for those on earth. God is indeed the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. (Quran 42:5)

Rehema should not be confused with Raahima, which has a close meaning and pronunciation but is a different word.
