Full Meaning of Netaa

Netaa is a Quranic name for girls that means “plea”, “call”, “prayer”. It is directly mentioned in the Quran twice:

2.  This is the remembrance of the mercy of your Lord upon His servant Zakaria. 3. when he called upon his Lord in secret. (Quran 19:2-3)

And so, the parable of those who are bent on denying the truth is that of the beast which hears the shepherd’s cry, and hears in it nothing but the sound of a voice and a call. Deaf are they, and dumb, and blind: for they do not use their reason. (Quran 2:172)
