Nashwan is an Arabic name for boys and girls that means “delirious”, “drunk”, “ecstatic”. It is the name of a famous Yemeni scholoar, Nashwan al-Humairi (died 573 Hijri) and Nashwan bint Abdullah al-Kinaniyyah (died 880 Hijri), who is a female scholar of hadith.
