Muttaqeen is an Arabic name for boys that means “God-conscious ones”, “God-fearing ones”, thus meaning “pious”, “virtuous”.
Said Musa (Moses) to his people, “Seek help through God and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to God. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the God-conscious.” (Quran 7:128)
