Full Meaning of Monisa

Monisa is a name for girls that means friendly and affable, “a girl or woman who enters peace and happiness into people’s hearts”, and who makes people feel safe from danger and worry. It comes from the A-N-S root which is the source of many Quranic words. Monisa is not directly mentioned in the Quran, but its root is mentioned, so it is an indirect Quranic name.

The A-N-S root is used in hundreds of places in the Quran, such as 24:27:

O you who have believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you tasta’nisu (ascertain welcome) and greet their inhabitants. That is best for you; perhaps you will be reminded.
