Full Meaning of Meteineh

Meteineh is a direct Quranic name for girls that means city in general and the city of the Prophet in particular, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, which is known as al-Meteinehh and is in Saudi Arabia. Meteineh is mentioned 14 times in the Quran.

Some of the desert Arabs around you are hypocrites as are some of the people of Meteinehh—they are obdurate in their hypocrisy. You do not know them, but We know them. We shall cause them to suffer doubly and then they will be subjected to a great punishment. (Quran 9:101)
