Answer

This is an official answer by QuranicNames.com Staff

Mira, pronounced [(MEE)t] + [(RU)n] with emphasis on the first syllable, is a Persian word that means "female leader", "female ruler", "queen-like", it is taken from the Arabic word Amira, which is an Islamic name, therefore you can consider Mira an Islamic name as well. Since it has a good meaning you can use it. You can also pronounce it with a long "a" as in Miraa if you like.

For Eva please see: Eva
