    Mansoor or Mansur is a direct Quranic name for boys that means “supported by Allah”, “defended by Allah”. It is a good name for boys. It is pronounced [(MU)st + (N)ew] + [(SOO)n + p(R)ay].

    Mansoor is mentioned in the Quran as the last word of verse 17:33.
